Abel Pichardo

Coach & Clinical Intern - Illinois

Hello, my name is Abel. Life has allowed me to travel diverse and challenging roads, but definitely, the road to my healing is the most exciting one I have ever taken. I remember in my teenage years I began to notice a strong feeling that something was missing internally, something did not feel complete inside me, I searched in many places for something to fill that feeling of emptiness in my heart. After several years, I managed to start my healing process and discovered that what I was missing was to heal those deep parts of me that had been hurt throughout my life. From there I decided that I would do what others have done with me, help people to recover their souls and hearts so that they can be all that they can be and have dreamed of being.

As human beings, we will always have needs on many levels, and it is inevitable as life goes on, that some of these vital needs will not be met or will be hurt. As we are open to look at the traces of our histories and responding to our own needs, we can recover the fragments of ourselves that we have lost along the way. It takes courage, but it is so worth it.

Throughout my journey of healing and also preparing to help others, I have had the opportunity to collaborate and be trained by organizations that are dedicated to poviding emotional health interventions in various countries, giving me the opportunity to witness in different contexts and cultures the pain and human needs. I have been trained as a Counselor by one of the organizations I have collaborated with, and also received basic and advanced training in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and my journey of preparation is still ongoing in pursuit of a postgraduate degree and licensure as a therapist. Currently, I am also an Emotional and Relationship Coach at Rally Point Counseling based in Elgin Illinois.
