Getting Connected

Your therapist will typically share a unique zoom link with you via email or a secure messaging platform.

At the scheduled time of your session, click on the link provided by your therapist. This will open a web browser window, prompting you to either download the Zoom software or launch the Zoom application if already installed. You may join from either a laptop or a mobile device.

Once you enter your name, click "Join Meeting," and you will be directed to the virtual waiting room. Your therapist will then admit you into the session when ready.

For more information about joining a virtual meeting, see this official support article from Zoom.

Privacy & Safety

Virtual sessions are unique from other forms of therapy, in that the environment in which you attend sessions is largely in your control.

Protecting your privacy and your ability to talk openly with your therapist starts with your location. Many clients use headphones during sessions, and we recommend finding a location for sessions that is completely private. To protect your privacy, do not share your virtual session link with anyone else.

Additionally, your therapist may ask preliminary questions to be prepared for emergencies, such as your session location. These precautions ensure a secure and supportive therapy experience.
