Rally Point Counseling

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Counseling cost?

At Rally Point - our admin team works with every client upfront to make sure you are informed about what you will pay for therapy before your first session (including verifying insurance if you have it).

What you pay for counseling services varies based on factors like insurance coverage and financial need. Our practice functions on a sliding scale for all clients - with rates that are customized to your situation based on an estimate of your annual household income.

Some employers or churches may have a program that will cover a portion of your fees - if that’s the case, we’re happy to work with them to discuss a partnership rate.

When you make an appointment, you’ll be given an estimate of what services will cost.

Do you take insurance?

Rally Point and most Rally Point Counselors are in-network with BCBS PPO plans, and Aetna. If your plan is in-network, our team will work with your insurance company to verify benefits in advance and submit claims for counseling sessions. Clients are responsible for their portion at the time of service.

If you have a different insurance plan or decide to pay out of pocket, our team can help you submit a receipt to your insurance for the chance to get reimbursed or apply payments towards your out-of-network deductible. We are happy to create statements (commonly called superbills) for you to submit toward your out-of-network benefits and will complete forms required by your insurance company to facilitate reimbursement for counseling services. Feel free to contact our team if you have questions.

When evaluating your health insurance benefits, please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • What portion of sessions will the network cover after my deductible has been met?

  • Is there any limit on sessions per year that my health insurance covers?

How does billing work?

All billing and documentation details can be found within our secure client portal. We accept cash, check, or credit card and payment is expected at the time of appointment. If you prefer, we are happy to setup automatic-billing on the day of your choosing. Inside the portal, you can manage statements, add billing details, and see documentation related to your experience. Click here to access the secure client portal.

Where do you offer counseling services?

We offer appointments in-person at our Elgin & St. Charles office locations - or virtually via Telehealth.

Presently, we are only able to offer counseling services for Illinois residents.

If you’re out of state, we would love to talk with you about coaching services - available globally.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Our counselors currently offer Telehealth sessions for any Illinois residents. We use a HIPPA-compliant platform for Telehealth that is compatible with any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone that has access to a web camera. No software downloads are required.

How long does counseling last?

Sessions with a counselor are 55 minutes long. You’ll work directly with your counselor to determine a timeline of visits that will help you most - but you are in control. There are no commitments and you can end the counseling relationship at any time.

What if counseling isn’t for me?

Counseling is a helpful way to process life and the experiences you’ve faced. We believe that counseling is most effective when you have a good relationship with your counselor. We will do our best to pair you with a counselor who works for you - but if you don’t feel comfortable, or would like to seek other help, you can end the counseling relationship at any time.
